Dr. Flynn served as President, American Association of Birth Centers; Executive Director, The Birth Center, Bryn Mawr, PA; General Director, Family Health and Birth Center, Washington, DC; Associate Professor Nursing, Seattle University; founder/CEO of Columbia Women's Clinic & Birth Center, Kennewick, WA;  and the Expert Midwife on www.pregnancy.org, She has raised over $1mm for birth centers and has negotiated a merger between a birth center and an FQHC. She earned her BA from the University of Washington, her MA and PhD from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and her MSN from Yale University.
